I've used a few distros part-time over the years (ubuntu, fedora, mint, arch, pop), and can say that assuming you don't need the latest version of all programs, NixOS is my favourite. It's so easy to test things out and then undo them, it's great!

I feel like there is almost no chance of a copilot program working as expected without having an understanding of the code it writes. It makes some hilariously bad choices at times, and frequently drops and changes code that was added previously.

I pay also, and use revanced. I watch YouTube more than any other service, and want to support some of the creators I like.

I would feel a lot less self hatred for paying google if they released a YouTube 'Lite' app that dropped everything related to shorts. Paying users should be able to use the app however they want, without having extra features rammed down their throats.

It took me like 5 years of heavy app use to finally meet my wife. I met a few nice people in that time, but the process was honestly extremely depressing and difficult.

For me it has to be an audio recording some old guy made of him hiding in his basement to confront two neighborhood teenagers who kept sneaking into his house. He shoots the guy first, then if i remember correctly the girl was in shock and said something like "you shot him" and then the old guy was like "you're fucking dead removed" and executed her.

Then he proceeded to leave the bodies in his basement over the weekend, then went to the cops to report the attempted robbery. Upon presenting his evidence, he was arrested.

Where I'm from, most farmers with chickens would have shot the dog first. If your animal kills someone else's livelihood, they are going to react poorly.

While its fucked to kill your own dog, this is a common reason to put down animals.

I'd guess there are a lot of people who make excuses when getting arrested, and saying you are having a medical emergency is an easy one. If you're a cop who sees this a lot, you would eventually start assuming everything people say was just an attempt to get pity or leniency.

The other possibility is that all cops are bastards.. But I'm guessing its a mix of the two.

I got into metroid in 2014 or 2015 during the 3DS era. Someone mentioned that Super Metroid was their favourite game growing up, so I decided to give it a shot. I had only played the NDS metroid games before, so I didn’t really know what to expect.

I ended up being completely blown away, and I think I replayed the game within a year, which is incredibly rare for me - one of the only other games I can think of doing this for was the first Ori game (I have a thing for tight platformers, what can I say).

I’d say super metroid is one of my all time favourite games now, probably number 2 on the SNES to Link to the Past. In terms of influence, I’d put it up there with dark souls.

Last year I also played Prime for the first time when the remaster came out, and loved that too. Really hoping they release 2 and 3!

I needed a cheap laptop for audio, so i decided to pick up a second hand m1 air a couple months ago.

It is honestly pretty impressive for the price, I generally don’t have issues either. Everything is snappy, and it handles multitasking fine. Its even faster than my $2000+ PC at several things, which frustrates me greatly.

However… When running ableton live (or presumably anything that involves heavy image, video, or audio editing), 8gb of ram is honestly not enough. If you push it too hard, it hangs for a second, then the offending app will just close.

Also there is a weird delay in factorio, absolutely unacceptable.
