The fuck? Food nutrition labels weren’t REQUIRED until 1993?

KillerTofu ,

Thank you. I am saving this for future use.

KillerTofu ,

You’re thinking of her sister, Sarah Kerrigan.

KillerTofu ,

Bullshit article doesn’t even say what the updates to the rules are.

KillerTofu ,

As opposed to oysters from the plains?

KillerTofu , (edited )

Haha, my bad. My brain autocorrected oysters from the sea and I just commented.

KillerTofu ,

And yet the staff are paid as close to minimum wage as possible.

KillerTofu ,

Witness the violence inherent in the system!

KillerTofu ,

If you think the genders matter in this hypothetical, that says a lot. No, age of consent exists for a reason.

KillerTofu ,

Ohh can I get it to use the voice from the Star Trek computer, Majel Barret?

California attorney general Rob Bonta has ordered Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s charity to stop raising and spending money after declaring it “delinquent” on its state registration fees. Bonta sent a letter to the Archewell foundation to notify the charity of its status change, and attributed the demotion to its failure to submit an annual report and the fees. As a result, Archewell can’t fundraise or spend money while it’s in limbo, and it may be subject to greater sanctions down the road. “An organization that is listed as delinquent is not in good standing and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds,” the notice, which was first reported by Page Six, reads. “The organization may also be subject to penalties and its registration may be suspended or revoked by the Registry.” Page Six reported that Archewell’s registration check was mailed but never received by the state, and the foundation expects delinquency to be resolved quickly.

It’s a ton of fun if you’re into resource gathering base building games. Combat is fun and varied. No exp grind, your level is your equipment, so THAT’S the grind. Resources and equipment.

Totally recommend hosting your own server or paying for it if you can. Tried playing in the public servers and it’s brutal finding a spot when you land. PVP can be fun but not for everyone. And you can tweak the quality of life to your liking.

KillerTofu ,

All of it is configurable. You can decide how many hours in a day or how fast the day progresses. You can adjust the multiplier for castle decay and resource consumption for maintenance and crafting. Very granular control of most aspects of all the systems.

And at the end of the day it’s your server so shoot an AdminAuth and you can use the give command to get the things you want or need. Have fun the way you want!

Mutant violet? ( lemmy.world )

I was given a small pot with a single sad leaf to try and rescue. I was told it was an African violet. It was repotted and I gave it some fertilizer and it started producing this giant leggy looking leaves. Is this normal? A mutant? It doesn’t look like any violet I’ve seen....

KillerTofu OP ,

By golly, I think you are right! Looking at some photos the leaves do look similar.

But now, is it not getting enough light? Is that why the leaves are so long and twisted? I’ve never had one before and the photos all show a more compact looking plant.

KillerTofu ,

Don’t most? But that’s my America showing.

I say this to my spouse all the time, it’s on our Plex? Why are you watching it with commercials?

KillerTofu ,

Well it wasn’t my assessment.

Kahn

Here’s my favorite picture of my old boy Kahn. I rescued him and his sister when they were itty bitty about 14 years ago. He is THE coolest cat. He has purred since the day he was born, it is nearly constant. You walk by and he flops to ask for belly rubs. He loves to have the space in between his toes massaged and will stretch his paws as wide as possible so you can really get in there.

When we got him we had three dogs. He loved them and they have since all passed. We had another dog who wasn’t with us long due to health but he loved him too. We have two new boys and it took him a second because he never had been around puppies but will curl up with them now on their bed or in front of the fireplace.

You can have conversations with him and he responds. Sometimes he is monosyllabic but will also meah back in short sentences.

He hangs out with the chickens and just chills. Such a cool cat and I will miss him when he’s gone.

I love his sister too, but she has chosen my spouse as her human and she doesn’t hang out if I’m home. She’s very stand offish and demanding. She has so many rules about who what and when she wants things and doesn’t want her time or space intruded on.
Minh as you can see on her face I am intruding on her human time.

KillerTofu ,

Thanks! I say that to him all the time. He meows in agreement.

KillerTofu ,

It’s not what the article says. Still interesting application of mixed 2D/3D technologies. Always hopeful that these energy developments leave the lab though.

KillerTofu ,

Little Latin boy in drag, why are you crying?

KillerTofu ,

What I think is also interesting is that the Chinese written language is still pretty much the same now as it was when it was created. So people today can read ancient texts and not need a layer of interpretation other than the context of the time.

Unlike the Bible. No modern human is a native speaker of Aramaic.

KillerTofu ,

The midnight train goes anywhere I hear.

KillerTofu ,

We have ferries. What if we could combine the efficiency of train and the convenience of ferries? People could just drive their own car on a train car of some kind and be shuttled to a destination and then drive off?

KillerTofu ,

I’m sure the idea is suppressed on over in Merica. Glad it’s not an original thought!

KillerTofu ,

Without looking deeper it’s probably cost prohibitive. Looking at long train rides cost a thousand dollars and takes 3-4 days, might as well just fly at that point.

They Bought Tablets in Prison—and Found a Broken Promise ( www.wired.com )

A Bureau of Prisons spokesperson reportedly issued a statement in October 2022 confirming that it was “in the process of introducing the Keefe Score 7c tablet into federal institutions, offering it for sale through the commissaries at a cost of $118.” Initially, the bureau said, the tablets could only be used for music...

Well, the fluoride calcifies in your pineal gland. It shows up on brain scans and if it is not centered can help indicate or diagnose brain tumors. Some also say that the calcification closes your third eye and prevents you from communing with the ether.

KillerTofu ,

Nothing is broken, people are choosing to not abide by the terms they accepted to when the bought the game.

KillerTofu ,

So for those who can’t have a PSN account the failure was on them for buying the game anyway, since it was included on the store page, terms, and shows up on launch. Now, I agree they should get a refund if it locks them out the game. For the rest of the caterwauling, what will they do when Steam denies their refund after playing 200hours? Boycott Steam?

KillerTofu ,

Thanks mate 🫂

KillerTofu ,

I’ve been called worse by better people. People who don’t read things that they are agreeing to and then complain they don’t like it after the fact should take the lesson and move on.

KillerTofu ,

It wasn’t hidden in some legalese riddled document. It was listed on the store page on the right side where they put all the requirements for outside accounts. I get there are people who don’t want to have to install other launchers and make other accounts, but it was there. To complain that they are now enforcing it when it was obviously disclosed and claim it was a bait and switch are wrong.

Should they have sold it to countries Sony doesn’t serve? Obviously not.

KillerTofu ,

Heck yeah! I’m excited for mine to arrive!!

KillerTofu ,

As it should be! Have you seen Reefer Madness?!

KillerTofu ,

Well it arrived in California and not Abu Dhabi…

KillerTofu ,

More to the point, can we trust cats?

KillerTofu ,

Well then if you are not afraid of tinkering creality printers are great to dip a toe at that price point and also serve to give you a solid foundation of the hobby. I started with a standard ender3 and then upgraded for a while as I learned more and finally have settled for now with a bambulab.
