Can you share what you imagine?

What do you think of how our democracies handle minorities?

I remember how the commentary mentioned that they worked forever on that effect you see in the distance.

Have you tried FOSS? I use it for everything and pirating software is likely going to infect your computer.

xilliah ,
@xilliah@beehaw.org avatar

Just search FOSS alternatives, there's a plethora of websites for finding those.

It was actually quite funny. I was biking and this man asked me for some cash and gendered me right. So I went over and gave him something and then he suddenly misgendered me when giving thanks.

Last time I misgendered someone? Never in someone's face actually. But I did while talking about someone. Because she was pretransition and always had stubble and would wear a baseball cap backwards. So in person she was clearly a she to me but in my mind's eye I just saw this man and so said he :/ oof

And the photo? Well it's hard to see anything on that photo. I'd say a he from the jawline.

I cook a lot and still have tons of plastic. Cheese. Quark. Cream.

Hey, can you try again?

Could someone else do it? It doesn't work properly in my client.

I imagine a lot of people are already in such a situation right now.

Thanks for sharing. I'll be sure to bring it up so perhaps we'll be able to avoid it as much as possible.

If you have any actionable ideas? As in what to watch out for. Or perhaps any resources related to this topic.

I have chronic sleeping problems therefore I love(d) taking naps but waking up afterwards is absolute hell. What should I do? **Edit: I have found a short-term solution**

I am currently struggling heavily with depression. Which impacts my quality of sleep. Sleep now has never been a talent of mine. So I generally make up for it by napping. I used to absolutely love it. Both the initial and the waking up (feeling well rested). But lately the waking up part is getting more and more difficult. It...

Have you tried any sleeping meds? Or at least sleeping tea?

Are you familiar with the sleeping cycles? If you wake up during the wrong part you'll feel like trash. You can set an alarm to avoid that. There's also devices that can detect when you fall asleep and then take care of that for you.

Further, how's your sleep hygiene? Ear plugs? Good curtains? Blue light filter on your phone?

It can also help to do a lot of sport. And I mean 2 or 3 times a day. And if your rythm is screwed just skip a night.

Further you'll want focus on reducing anxiety and working on mental health. I can recommend mindfulness.

Have a healthy spiritual life. That is, not be overly busy with myself. To be able to look beyond yourself and see that it's all connected.

A lot of people struggle with their egos and when you have to start facing the fact that it's transient you better be able to leave that behind or it's going to cause a lot of pain. I've seen it plenty of times.

I like wearing ponchos. If you can work a sewing machine then you just need some cloth. You can make them really fancy with fancy cloth and lining. But it's so simple.

And yes I totally put a filter on that I'm basic like that.

Follow up on that post about my depression healing plan. Tldr fell back into hole after hrt euphoria, made a plan with all my issues causing anxiety. 3 page long list.

Applied SMART. Looked at it and genuinely asked myself if I wanted to give up or give it another spin. Would be stupid not to given that hrt has had such a massive mental impact and I want to see where this is going.

I've been chipping away at it and feeling progress. I've also been reaching out for help here and there. It has created a few minutes of space here and there but in all honesty I am anxious 24 7. Which is good in a way because before hrt I didn't feel anything at all and it's motivating.

What was rather funny was that I forced myself to go to the cinema and watch Dune and I had a deeply peaceful feeling during that movie, but I also felt a strong anxiety at the same time. I didn't know that was possible!

Tomorrow I'll visit a district help team to see if they can help me writing a letter to get my tax fine forgiven. I might ask my gp to write something to proof that I've been utterly sick before hrt, which got in the way of my responsibilities.

It's gonna take months but I know it'll get rid of my anxiety, giving me space to focus on healing emotionally.

I actually got bucket loads of free time after finishing my studies, I didn't know what to do with it. Like why does everyone always act like students have time? It's a full time job plus you have to do projects and homework.

That's crazy.. I once changed to a business plan to get more reliable support and it was actually cheaper.

Wtf isn't that against freedom of expression big time? Didn't expect the US as you guys are typically really strict on that.

I like the Dutch consent form for body donation. You can just checkmark what you’re ok with and what not. I don’t know all the details but I expect that it’ll be used responsibly.

I think we can all agree that that’s an important topic. Why can’t we do that for other, often less important, things too?

Like sure, access my diary if your research is supported by a board but not for security purposes unless you have a warrant.
