Why are you even here if that's your attitude?

SturgiesYrFase ,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

Wellllll...I have it on unreliable authority that Israel has a space laser, so weather control probably isn't out of the question......

I work in stone conservation and for the body that dictates these regulations, even if it was built out of stone it would be required to be visually distinct. The only exception is if it were reinstatement of an original feature that had been demolished or decayed to the point that it had to be removed and fully rebuilt. In that case every effort should be made to source the stone from the same quarry, and the same mortar mix should be used.

Then....what did you mean?

The two are hardly mutually exclusive....oh, bother....

MxM111 clearly does, so one who at the least

I always hate that argument. Why be a decent human without the threat of eternal damnation? I mean that threat doesn't seem to stop a vast number of religious people from being unbelievably cruel to their fellow humans, so....

True!

Apple limits third-party browser engine work to EU devices ( www.theregister.com )

The Register has learned from those involved in the browser trade that Apple has limited the development and testing of third-party browser engines to devices physically located in the EU. That requirement adds an additional barrier to anyone planning to develop and support a browser with an alternative engine in the EU....

I have the feeling that it would require a GPS spoof

Hey, only some folk guillotined it away, lots of the rest of us either still have the monarchy, or just kinda wandered off, fought with the monarchy for a little bit and now are on speaking terns but do their own thing.

Jesus is their savior, Trump is their candidate. Ex-president's backers say he shares faith, values ( apnews.com )

As Donald Trump increasingly infuses his campaign with Christian trappings while coasting to a third Republican presidential nomination, his support is as strong as ever among evangelicals and other conservative Christians....

Nah, bit of bondo, bit of wax, oil change and it's good to go

SturgiesYrFase ,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

Totally, I have a mid August trip planned, but something came up. I'll sell you my ticket for half the price, £5000, it's all inclusive though, so you don't have to pay for anything once you're there.

Ugh....I know raked joints are a stylistic choice, and in certain cases it looks great, but with the slope on that wall that's just a goddamn water trap, knock years if not decades of longevity off that section of wall....smfh

I only bought a ps4 well after the 5 dropped, and only because my pal had got a new xbox and wasn't playing with his ps4 anymore. Long story short I got the ps4, 3 controllers, and 5 hardcopy games for £50 and a joint. Until I can get a ps5 for that....I ain't upgrading

SturgiesYrFase ,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

I have a ps1, 2, 3 and 4, a psp, a vita, I also have a NA snes, OG xbox, xbox360 and xbox one. I pretty much don't play with any of them, I work too much...

We have drying cupboards at work, and until my wife showed me this a week ago I thought they new about my sordid past, now I understand that they're probably just Swedish....

SturgiesYrFase ,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

They are not. They're about 185cm tall 70 wide and 80 deep and sit on the floor.

SturgiesYrFase ,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

Me too

Edit: I think I remember what I wrote, and I'm pretty sure it landed me a 5 day account ban. Though I feel that that was a touch heavy handed, and unnecessary.

SturgiesYrFase ,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

Didn't they say that a PSN account won't be required for the single player content? Seems kinda like they're getting ready to shoot themselves in the foot again.

SturgiesYrFase ,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

You moss be kidding, that was leek at best.

I would recommend listening to the Behind the Bastards episodes on the guy.

"It's not hate, it's heritage!" The literal words said to my Asian wife driving through Virginia with her friend and their cousins seeing confederate flags painted on barn roofs. And yeah, it's a heritage of fucking pro-slavery. It's like when people say it was about economic policy...Well yeah, the Confederate economy was built on Slavery, so you're not wrong....but still not in the way you think you're right.

SturgiesYrFase ,

I also see all of this things in perfect alignment, whatever this other person is smoking, I would ask them to kindly consider sharing.

And again, the version of window that comes on prebuilts and laptops isn't free, the cost is rolled into the price of the device.

I have a Surface Pro 4, was running Nobara, but I'm trying to troubleshoot a weird issue with it. When I was talking about Nobara in a different post a month or so ago, a neckbeard essentially called me an idiot for using Nobara, and said I should use a UBlue variant. I've not used it, but it comes highly recommended by the guy who thought it was weird that I'd buy an old not entirely reliable piece of hardware to just have as essentially a toy....so there's that.
Surface kernel can be added onto most distros. So if the offerings with it preinstalled don't suit your fancy there's instructions on the Surface kernel site.

SturgiesYrFase ,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

I wasn't bashing it. I actually honestly believe that the person ripping me for using Nobara and having the SP4 as a toy meant what they said about uBlue based distros were better than Nobara, especially since Nobara is built and maintained by one guy.
Again not casting shade. If I can figure out the issue I'm having with it, or give up, I'll be putting one of the ones you just mentioned on mine and taking it for a spin.

I've got that shit on lockdown man.
I name all my devices "Fuck0ff" followed by a 3 letter descriptor of what it is. E.g. - my windows install is Fuck0ffDTW for Desktop Windows, my Garuda install is Fuck0ffDTG for Desktop Garuda(it's a flavour of Arch, btw)

SturgiesYrFase ,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

Luckily I'm not responsible for naming my wife's devices, otherwise the whole scheme would be up shit creak. As it stands I have a dual-boot desktop, a daily laptop, a surface pro4, and an old laptop running Ubuntu server for various self hosted stuff. I've managed to just use 3 letters, I assume as I amass more tech I'll need to start adding numbers, if I have to label for rooms I'll have more than a data hording problem.

My wife learnt to drive here in the UK, she has a song she sings when she's anywhere with opposite sides for traffic. Goes something like: Right hand side of the road, right hand side of the road, dear god right hand side of the road....shit fuck, right hand side of the road!

Would Lemmy Benefit from Implementing Polls? ( slrpnk.net )

A popular way of dealing with discussions, and familiar to most people, I assume. As far as I see it, adding a poll system to Lemmy is a good way to enhance user engagement. I'm not really aware if this has been a topic before or not, tried looking it up but didn't see much juice on the topic, so thought I'd spark it up....

SturgiesYrFase ,
@SturgiesYrFase@lemmy.ml avatar

Depends entirely on how it's implemented. But almost certainly yes

Wife and I got married in between lockdowns in the UK. We were able to have 4 people there, our witnesses and our photographer and my witness' wife. Would have liked to have had a few more people there, and a proper bachelor party, and a honeymoon of any kind....
