We cool with police and government just barging into our homes and taking our property that we purchased legally with our own money now?

EDIT: FWIW, I misunderstood the title. I thought it was banned guns, not people banned from having guns (due to felonies, etc.). This is a bit different.

It's almost like we should get out and vote.

Ah shit that reminded me to change the gender fluid in my car. Thanks.

BassaForte ,
@BassaForte@lemmy.world avatar

No, not really.. But multi-occupancy isn't that different. Every stall has a lock, same as out houses.

Monday thru Friday, work from home. Go out to dinner 3-4 times week when my wife isn't working, eat at home when she is. Thursday we go to a Mongolian restaurant every week (it's so good). Friday night through Sunday is either projects (cars or house stuff), events (car shows or autocross), or just lazing around, gaming, etc. Monday we do our grocery shopping.

Seems simple but it works, and I'm always trying to do something productive. I don't watch TV or laze around that much.

Or, you know, people could just stop caring which bathrooms other people use. It’s not a big deal.

BassaForte ,
@BassaForte@lemmy.world avatar

It sounds like your concern is mainly around school bathrooms, which yes, fights are possible in bathrooms no matter which gender anyone involved is - but that negates the entire point and has nothing to do with gendered bathrooms. Your concern is a problem much higher than “what gender is allowed to use which bathroom” - bullying and fighting is a much more general problem and can also happen outside of the school, and even outside of school hours.

Source: I was bullied, although never in a bathroom.

Furries on a plane sounds like a great parody title

Dirty water goes in, clean water comes out. You can’t explain that!

Does anybody have experience with progesterone creams?

I feel like I am at a point in my transition where I might benefit from adding progesterone into the equation. However, I have heard wildly different opinions on whether it has any impact at all, and criticism of generally available creams on amazon for not being the same as human progesterone, since they are often derived from...

BassaForte ,
@BassaForte@lemmy.world avatar

No, but I’ve heard that the best way to get progesterone is via suppository. Oral and creams allegedly aren’t as effective.

So you saw an idiotic comment and decided to idiotically spew it further. Nice.

Oh man. South Park doesn’t even need to do work anymore.

Already about 10 months in, and I chose to because I’ve never been happy with my male body and even if I don’t completely pass, I’d still be happy with a more feminine body shape. Plus I have a very strong suspicion that I’m intersex and had some estrogen sensitivity at some point during my puberty (or still do), but that’s not really a reason why I chose to start.

CONSERVATIVES ARE A BLIGHT ON HUMANITY!!!

I keep injecting in the wrong spot and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I keep injecting into the wrong spot. Usually how I know is it feels harder to push the plunger down on the syringe. And I bleed a little upon removal. How I find the spot is I feel different spots on my leg to see if it flexs, I find the spot and mark it. Disinfect it and inject. Usually turns out fine but these past two times...

Is this IM? Into the thigh?

I’ve never had any issues picking a spot the outer third of my thigh. The plunger giving resistance is normal because the liquid is thick oil.

Not denying that they’re incoherent lumps of flesh, but that’s exactly how the significantly worse of the incoherent lumps of flesh (trump) gets elected.

Gun owner here in support of safe storage laws. I do think the argument of “the gun should be easily accessible” is valid, only if you don’t have kids or anyone that shouldn’t have access living with you. But at the same time, having the gun accessible doesn’t really matter unless it’s literally on you 24/7.

I am for safe storage laws because I don’t think the outcome would change much in favor of the gun owner, rather homes with firearms would be safer when they’re not accessible by kids or people that shouldn’t access them.

Why are people so antsy to see others in person?

I WFH, every year one of the goals that the rest of the team decides is that it’s “so great” to see each other in person. The past few years haven’t worked out but one did. I spent hours in a couple of airports, the huge expense for the company, I spent days away from my family, and for what? So you could look me in my...

I share the same opinion as you. My job is mostly remote, but I am required to come to the office (2 hour drive away) once every month or two (which has mostly come down to company meetings once every 2 months).

On the bright side, they book me a hotel room and compensate me for gas and wear-and-tear on my car, but pretty much when I get there, it’s a normal day with a scrum meeting almost first thing, which we do virtually almost always anyways, and then the same work I’d be doing at home, just at a cubicle. We sometimes go out for a group lunch, but most of the time we’re on our own (I don’t really eat lunch so I just grab a coffee), and then we have the company meeting which could 100% just be done virtually. My only real interaction with anyone in the office is greetings when people walk in and that’s pretty much it.

I’m with you, I really don’t see the benefit, and I know I can’t complain much because it’s not very frequent, but it’s still 4 hours of driving (which btw, I think I’m expected to not count as “work time”) and it doesn’t benefit me or anyone else I see anyways.
