@kde@kde I've been using Plasma 6 as my daily driver for three weeks now, and it's really good! I'm grateful for all the time that developers, testers, and doc writers have spent on this project. I decided to ditch Windows after getting yet another nudge to "please create a microsoft account".
No but seriously, Plasma's really good and I'm really happy with Plasma 6 so far, it's a satisfactory experience that feels just as good as using late Plasma 4 did back in 2015 or 2016 on Mint.
indie gamedev is spending 3-5 years working on a game with probably at least a couple other people and then you release it and if youre fairly lucky you gross like 20-80 thousand US dollars which works out to $5000 a person a year before tax. it's a very cool and sustainable industry

@nixCraft There is also, at least in win 11, other way to stop task-manager to update non-stop. Hamburger menu, Settings, and select Paused at real-time update speed.
@nixCraft MS once had great engineers/developers. So good that some system tools haven't fundamentally changed for more than 2 decades. Too bad they replaced them with marketing engineers

Have you had trouble finding anyone to #StreetPass for Happy Home Showcase in New Leaf?
If you have, the team at @pretendo have just made it easier! With the latest version of Nimbus (which allows you to connect to the network), you're now able to StreetPass people online from anywhere in the world!
However, it's not that simple. Due to the buggy implementation of StreetPass for some games, you'll only be able to StreetPass people you've friended on your console (well that's 0 for me). It makes use of a feature called StreetPass Relay which was used at Nintendo Zones which allowed you to upload your data and download others.
I think I'll just stick to real StreetPasses for now though (I got 3 in the last year). Anyone reading from the South West or West Midlands?
