I love the Gnome DE, used it years ago. You are correct, KDE (+Wayland) is better for the gaming side and more like a windows interface, it also got further into my VR setup than Gnome (X11 or Wayland) would let me, switched to Kubuntu from Ubuntu. As someone who has suffered/made others suffer foot odour, might I suggest the easiest way to fix this is cotton socks, highest percentage you can find. I was worried I was gonna have to go down the anti-bacterial foot washing route 3x+ a day, instead after about a week of my normal hygiene routine my feet stopped giving off eye watering stink and even my shoes lost their smell. note: I caught it fairly quickly, only bout a month but the last week was killer. If his has been longer he may still need anti-bacterial soap for a bit until his nails grow out, or see a doctor. Good luck.

Don’t get me wrong, this is just to show a history and why people may not trust Chinese products, EVs are a great stepping stone to our next less environmentally damaging inventions. IF Chinese EV makers meet safety etc regulations then they will start to repair their reputation, if they also stop their less honest companies from exporting crap that will hurt consumers regardless of who pays them.
Was just showing why there is distrust. Hopefully they follow regulations and force, through quality products, other car makers to make smaller, better, and more economical vehicles.
