According to the internet the turban fabric is 645 meters long, weighs 100lbs and takes several hours of his day to put on... His neck must look like a question mark lol

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

He is wearing the correct orange color for Master Roshi's dojo...

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

Whole olives seems a bit much especially with that cheese dip, but a nice tapenade might be good on a hot dog if you used it like relish, maybe with some spicy English mustard...

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah, I would never use that queso dip with anything with olives lol feta does sound good through! I was thinking English mustard because you don't really need to use a lot of it and it's more of a good spicy flavor without the strong vinegar taste most mustard has

This seems like it was done by someone who is actively trying to get fired lol

I feel like I shouldn't have to keep saying this, but here we are... Pay attention now:

I want one now

I'll take that chicken tikka lasagna too

MrJameGumb ,

It's part of the Instagram post linked under the picture

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

I can assure you this is not American. If it were I would have had one by now. According to the Instagram link this was found in Iceland.

Also Heinz brand baked beans are British, so I'm assuming that is the country where this masterpiece was created

I'm so sick of every single medical-related question people have online constantly getting spammed with 'talk to your doctor!!!!'

The way people online constantly say 'talk to your doctor' like it's a panacea is a lot like how medieval peasants weren't able to read scripture and they just had to trust their clergy's interpretations...

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

It's because most people realize that a doctors advise about your medical issue is probably going to be a lot more helpful than the baseless uneducated opinions of "some guy I talked to on Lemmy"

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

This would be a lot more appropriate in the Don't Dead - Open Inside community. Doesn't really seem like an aneurysm post

Wow... I didn't know what "dry fasting" was. It just means not drinking any liquids for extended periods and in extreme cases not even touching water even to bathe! My question is if they are abstaining from any liquid intake, where are they getting the urine from 😰😰😰

Also, do these people seriously just walk around all day long reeking like piss?

Any idea what happened to the second strawberry pot? ( lemmy.world )

Both pots were started at the same time from the same batch of strawberry starts. They should have the same soil box. Both grew vigorously last spring/summer and got visited by deer in the fall. Both bounced back pretty well before winter set in. The left pot is very happy, the right... Not so much. I do recall the big pot...

I don't have a lot of expertise in this area, but if the only difference is the type of container maybe that has something to do with it? Does one have better drainage than the other possibly?

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

No one does this. The person who posted that was just trying to make trouble

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

That not really meant for sandwiches though. That's meant for eating straight out of the jar with a dirty spoon at 4am while your standing in the kitchen in your underwear.

Or so I've heard

😰

Didn't you mean to say it will make us GREAT again??? Lol

I had never heard of a "sheepfold" before so I looked it up. A sheepfold is just like a sheep pen. Like without a roof and usually just a few feet high. Either the article used the word incorrectly or there is a ton they are leaving out here. Maybe it had something to do with his captors magic spell?

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

I guess I'd put up some tarps to prevent the inevitable blood splatter from staining the walls and floor?

MrJameGumb ,

Mine keeps reminding me that my biggest expenditures are my mortgage payment and groceries lol sorry I frivolously wasted so much money on food and shelter lol

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

WTF is a "moral/spiritual genius"? That doesn't even make sense. It sounds like a title someone just made up for themselves to feel important.

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

If I really think about it, someone who is considered to be an "expert" on morality would be either a philosopher or a religious leader and I doubt either of them would willing to call the other a "genius" since what is considered "morally right" can vary widely between cultures or even between individuals in the same culture as it's a pretty personal thing.

"Spirituality" is such a nebulous term that it could mean almost literally anything and thus is not really quantifiable even in the broadest terms

Quite frankly if I met someone who claimed to be a "moral/spiritual genius" I would stay well away from them, because they're either trying to sell you something or trick you into agreeing to something you wouldn't otherwise agree to

It sounds like even though Reddit still is the only place that has these hyper specific communities, no one is actually engaging with you there, and you've apparently made numerous different profiles you now have to keep track of to avoid having your information monetized and this is causing mods to suppress your posts. Do I have that right?

So, why are you still bothering? Why use it at all if you can't get any answers there and you've had to make managing 100 different profiles a part time unpaid job basically?

Why come tell Lemmy about it? Half the people here right now are here because Reddit is complete garbage now. This is not breaking news.

Reddit is not going to get better. However bad it is now will seem like a happy memory in a years time. Just let it go dude.

This is either a fake rage baiting troll post, or you're an extremely conceited girl. Either way I can't think of anything I would possibly want to ask you.

If it makes you feel any better, I have a sneaking suspicion that this post was probably actually written by a man in his late 30s who has too much time on his hands

MrJameGumb ,

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that lol

My Spirited Away pattern has been pretty challenging too! It gets frustrating but every time I make some progress I'm pretty happy with how it looks!

most olives are delicious, I have had certain "fancy" olives that were just awful though

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

I don't think you're supposed to drink the oil

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

That's just weird... If they thought one bar wouldn't be enough then why not just make the bars bigger? Is it still even a "healthy snack" if you have to cram them down 2 at a time? It reminds me of the time I was checking the info on the back of a packet of Top Ramen and it said it's supposed to be like 2 or 3 servings. Like was I supposed to share it with someone? Lol

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

It wouldn't necessarily have to be double thick, they could just make it longer or wider across or both

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

To be fair, it doesn't say who signed it, just that it is signed by someone

MrJameGumb OP ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

Thanks! After I finish the mouse I still have to stitch the dragon and No Face lol! There are a few soot sprites to do at the bottom too!

I grew up in the deep south in the 80s and I'm so glad my parents never forced church on me. We would go on Easter when we visited my grandparents but that was pretty much just to placate them. My dad took me to try out "regular church" maybe 3 or 4 times, but when it was clear I had no interest in it it was never really brought up again lol Even my very religious very conservative sister was saying to me the other day how glad she was that our parents taught us to be our own people and think for ourselves!

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

I'd say they both agree on the main point of both philosophies "everyone has to follow every ridiculous rule I come up with except me"

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

It's because we now live in a "post normal" world. Having 5 minutes to just sit and think without being blasted with news about 15 new tragedies is now considered a luxury for the rich. When you're bombarded 24 hours a day with terrible news of a never ending stream of ever more horrible atrocities they all just kind of blur together and turn into background noise.

So to answer your question, people DO still care about human rights, but actually doing anything about it has become a seemingly impossible task due to the sheer volume of awful things going on in the world right now.

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

It looks like it's applying some kind of sharpness adjustment to the zoom. Maybe that's like an "auto enhance" feature you can turn off?

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah but who wants to carry around a case of lenses for just taking random snapshots on their phone?

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

It sort of defeats the whole purpose of having a camera on your phone if you still have to carry around a camera bag full of lenses though doesn't it?

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

I usually just use the crop feature to zoom in on the picture after I take it and just select the part I wanted. Seems to work pretty well. I have a Motorola that wasn't particularly expensive.

MrJameGumb ,
@MrJameGumb@lemmy.world avatar

It took me a minute to realize this is a Snow White joke lol

MrJameGumb ,

I don't know that I'd even consider this "religious cringe"... That is someone having a mental health emergency. She needs to go to a hospital for her own safety
