Being a guy I have always been aware of slimey guys and even I found the "typical" male to be aweful. I realized females sorta had their own thing with that but it always seen it as not quite as scary a level as jerk males. That being said my wife has had experiences and I am telling you now to get the fuck away from both of them as much as possible. avoid being alone with either of them if you have to interact with them. They are predators and they see you as prey. By no means stay on good terms with Ann. Just because she is a woman does not mean she would not want things happening to her that she would not want for yourself. Go watch the original version of wes cravens "The Last House on the Left". Im sorry but assume Ann is sadie from the film.

Im athiest but I have no issue with conversation as long as its polite. I would regularly discuss christianity with a nice old lady who was a jehovas witness. she handed out slips but was not pushy or rude. I would discuss and even said I would for the sake of conversation assume the bible is real. She took my views in stride that you would think would upset someone from such a fundamentalist faith. If people did not want to talk to her though she did not bother them or such.

I think there are many that understand how grave it is but for someone of us we can't do anything much more effective than not reproduce although we also try what we can with reducing, reusing, recycling and such.

https://zorin.com/os/ its an out of the box distro that specifically tries to emulate the windows feel. In particular it has play on linux installed by default making running windows programs when needed as easy as it can be. the out of the box is office type stuff really though so you will have to install blender and such.

How come liberals dont hate conservatives the way conservatives hate liberals

I constantly see angry mobs of people decrying "woke", "critical race theory", ""grooming"", and whatever other nonsense they made up this week. They march around with guns, constantly appending lib as a prefix to any word they can use to denigrate. They actively plot violence and spew hatred in the open....

I mean plenty of lefty folks hate righties but they hate the ideology and not the people. They hate the people in so much as they hate the ideology they spout and its hate. There is a lot of hate inherent to right ideology but not so much in left ideology. At the end of the day I don't hate any particular person just them pushing things on me or the world that makes either worse. Take the old order anabaptist types like the amish. They are ultra conservative but keep to themselves. Is there bad things in the way their communities run. You betcha. But anyone can leave and sure they will be shunned but otherwise if they accept just not being part of it then they are free of it all. I am sorta losing where I am going with this but hope it helps in some way.

I mean I would say it evolved from the thing starting in the 80's. Especially that nothing mattered but lowering taxes on the wealthy (since sometimes they push for "flat" taxes and a lot of what they do just moves the tax burden lower down). Pre 80's conservative ideology was not my cup of tea but had some merit. they used to be against deficits.

I just don't get this though. Shouldn't high density housing be the most efficient? Why is it not constructed till its at just about the cost of construction. It should be the least profitable real estate given the low land use.

I agree here. My thing is just to work at a civilized pace no matter the pressure. Get stuff done and work through the process but don't stress on artificial deadlines and such. Its somewhat hard though and what cracks me up is stressing about allowing myself to stress.

I mean I was born at sorta the decline of things in the early 70's. So many nasty environmental things had been cleaned up do to efforts in the 60's but even going back to the forestry service from the depression. Regulation was high so we had actual inspectors and having a recall of foodstuff was a rarity. Theoretically the economy was not great supposedly but boy you could buy a lot of eggs per hour of minimum wage and minimum wage was not something that anyone was expected to raise a family on. If you had an efficiency apartment and beater car and had enough to hit the bars every weekend you where a loser going no where with your life. Almost nothing was in plastic. Grocery bags were paper and convenience foods were in glass or aluminum by and large. Kids hung around when school was not in session but there was an adult at home in half the houses at any particular time. If someone got injured or something then odds are someones mom would be home at the time by and large. Most people worked 9-5 and when they worked weekends or nights they got a pay bonus and over 40 hours time and a half except holidays or sundays when it was DOUBLE TIME! Oh and pensions were still a thing.

One thing I hate about the way victimless crimes have been legalized is advertising. I would like all the "adult" businesses to have strict signage limitations outside of their establishments and only allow advertising in their ecosystem. so tobacoo, liquor, casino, pot, strip clubs, etc could only advertise at those same establishments.

this is one of the things I point out to folks at how good the period was. nine to five the song was about how aweful it was to be a regular mook working nine to five. People should watch the movie and media from around that time. Luckily reagan saved us from that hell hole /s

this is why the privazitation of retirement is just nonsensical. You can't expect the median american to be able to invest in a way to provide an adequate retirement. God I remember when they wanted to float a scheme to have social security be essentially a 401k
