No way, tankies would never do this /s

But this is the whole point of the red fascists tankies

Yesterday, by an accident, I made such a "generous" gesture. Thank god they did not use it.

Has he always be so derranged or this is just old man’s mental decline?

Israeli troops shoot and kill a Palestinian shepherd reading the Quran on his land ( www.haaretz.com )

Three soldiers pounce on a shepherd sitting outside his sheep pen. They knock him over and then one of them shoots him to death at point-blank range. Fakher Jaber, a father of four, was suspected of involvement in an incident that probably never happened...

It is because communism (in the sense being tankie) is far less radical than what we actually need. It is just imperialism with some red aesthetics. This is not the way, this is surrender.

@33550336@lemmy.world avatar

If “in the sense being tankie” is not clear enough for you, I do not mean possible communism ideal, but I mean actually existing “communism”, like in USSR, which, besides some social advantages, was a red authoritarism.

Do you mean the communism’s ideal or actually existing “communism” of “anti-imperialist” USSR? I read about both and live in a post-soviet country.

Helicopter can also go into autorotation mode, i.e., to “gently” land even with engine failure. I think airships has no moving parts, what’s safe, and with the gas leak, I think it is rather slow process, so it would be easy to gently land.

@33550336@lemmy.world avatar

Helium could be detected with some specialized detectors, but I suppose approximately – so, as you said, finding exact leak place is challenging.

33550336 OP ,
@33550336@lemmy.world avatar

Yep, the structure integrity is maybe a hardest issue here.

33550336 OP ,
@33550336@lemmy.world avatar

Yep, the problem is probably worse for big ones and the video implies that we need extra large airships to carry heavy weights.

I heard about this law several times, but I always forget whether it is ‘yes’ or ‘no’ 😂

33550336 OP ,
@33550336@lemmy.world avatar

I suppose so, if some heater would be placed to heat the helium.

I agree with the parent. Alcohol shouldn't be normalized as other drugs and the anon is probably an alcoholic -- who else drinks in a cinema on a Disney movie?

33550336 ,
@33550336@lemmy.world avatar

Alcohol is one of the most destructive narcotics. Read ANY scientific paper on this.

33550336 ,
@33550336@lemmy.world avatar

That's the problem -- it is popular and considered "normal" because of historical reasons. Science says completely otherwise. Sometimes common sense is wrong. Science is wrong very rarely and if so, corrects itself after some time. Read abstract of any article about alkcohol, e.g., from The Lancet journal.

33550336 ,
@33550336@lemmy.world avatar

The only science relevant to if something is “normal” in this context are the social sciences, which would very much not say otherwise

Well, only if you disregard your health completely. And speaking about social issues:

"Even moderate drinking by parents can leave children feeling embarrassed or worried or lead to their bedtime being disrupted, according to the study led by the Institute of Alcohol Studies (IAS). "

https://www.theguardian.com/society/2017/oct/18/even-moderate-drinking-by-parents-can-upset-children-study

Alcohol cannot be defended from any position, just as cigarettes, even if fortunes are spent by alcoholic and tabacco corporations to "warm" their picture.

EU Commission fines Apple over €1.8 billion over abusive App store rules for music streaming providers ( ec.europa.eu )
