Weeds have punctured through the vacant parking lot of Martin General Hospital’s emergency room. A makeshift blue tarp covering the hospital’s sign is worn down from flapping in the wind. The hospital doors are locked, many in this county of 22,000 fear permanently....
I know that sucks, but it's always been a ~40 minute ambulance ride to the hospital from here and it doesn't seem like a big deal. Medics can stabilize you in the ambulance. In the case of major trauma there is a helicopter.
Yes it's ok to generalize. That is how humans quickly cope with an overwhelming amount of information. But you always need to be flexible and willing to recognize that not everyone fits the generalization.
Kevin Roberts remembers when he could get a bacon cheeseburger, fries and a drink from Five Guys for $10. But that was years ago. When the Virginia high school teacher recently visited the fast-food chain, the food alone without a beverage cost double that amount....

Yeah there's that, and the fact that you have no control over how much the bill will be each renewal period. Those two things kept me off the cloud for anything important.
The biggest change to me is how much the streaming services are pushing commercials now. Paying to watch commercials really completes the transition back to cable.
Yes, this is in relation to the closing of Tango Gameworks and Arcane Austin. Is there some immediate monetary benefit behind it that I have no idea about? Is it so they can keep the IPs and not have to deal with the developers? Are the Studios too expensive for anyone to buy? I honestly don't understand how these executives...
First let me be clear: I'm not a crazy conspiracy person (...on this) I just don't rely on a municipal well. As far as I know adding fluoride to the private well at my houses is not a thing, good or bad. I did drink municipal water for two years when I lived on campus in college....

I'm with you, there is so much waste in the world. I even feel bad throwing away a pack of ketchup, thinking of all that has to happen for that packet to get into my hand.
The problem with returns on a foot bath is probably no one wants a used foot bath. And also with shipping costs so high the return shipping would probably cost more than their cost to make the item.
Yeah did someone just run or interpret reports incorrectly? If a person subscribes to Game Pass and plays Hi Fi Rush for X months, I'd consider that a sale.
Just the fact that they played some minimum amount should tell them the game contributed to the subscriber's enjoyment of Game Pass. Otherwise if they are both selling a game and giving it to Game Pass subscribers for free I'm not sure what they are expecting. Can't have your cake and eat it too, but I'm sure they would like that.
Maybe they are hoping that Game Pass is like extended demos and will lead to more game sales. But there are too many new games all the time for most to hold my interest.
Absolutely agree, just recently instead of buying Manor Lords I just found a good deal on a month of Game Pass. I played it as much as I wanted (for now) for less than $10.

If all that is required is an email address and password I could live with giving Sony a special email address and unique password, I don't see where I have a privacy or security risk there. Annoying, but it's a lot better than another launcher or something. ETA: It asks for birthdate, definitely don't give them your real birthdate but give them something close. I have a standard fake that I use.
I would definitely be annoyed but have had to create an account for other games too. Give them an email that isn't your primary email and a unique password, I don't see where there is any risk after that.
They might verify the email. But if you're that worried about Sony having your email you can just make a unique one for them. You don't have to give them your primary email.
I hate Facebook but it doesn't sound right to legally force a service to act how you want. Facebook is how they want to be, take it or leave it. Wish more people would leave it and that there were better alternatives.
So I joined a new gym last year and was pleasantly surprised. They gave me a smart card to get in and out, that's it, no app, no accounts, no nothing. Well, today I got to the gym and saw the announcement that they are phasing out the access with the smart card and starting to use, you guessed it, an app....
