@arstechnica I appreciate RetroArch but I fired it up and, yeah, it's probably the ugliest iOS app I've ever used. Horrible UX. Reminds me of when I had an Android phone ten years ago. I wish the OpenEmu folks would come back with an iOS app.

@molly0xfff "A bad intern whose work is so unreliable that it's often easier to do the task yourself" feels especially on-target. Although it's more like a cross between an entry-level employee and a six year old. "By the time I'm finished explaining it to you, I could've just done it myself" is a recurring thought I have about AI.

@molly0xfff I miss the distance and delayed gratification. If you left your house for dinner and a movie, you might leave AIM running to catch messages but you had to put an away message up. You'd be out the whole time, not knowing who might have written to you and what might be waiting for you when you got back. Now there's no mystery and no distance; we carry our messaging with us 100% of the time. It makes everything a lot less special.

Dear @firefox : Please stop saving images as webp when I drag them out of the browser. Forever stop that. Even if they are webp originally, just give me a setting to auto-convert them to JPEG. When I get a webp file the first thing I have to do is convert it manually if I'm going to do anything with it.

@grue You don't need to identify yourself as a Linux user. The insulting remark at the top of your post and the tone of the rest of it makes it clear.

Ever been forced by your workplace to use a piece of software you'd prefer not to? For example, ever tried to share a webp image on MS Teams? You can't; you have to convert it first. Lots of household-name software rejects the format.

Hopefully the Firefox team needs to care about more than the needs of condescending Linux users.
