Man, I know you're never gonna believe it, but

you clean it with water

Chadus_Maximus ,

What about the batteries, though? How would Japan source those? All-in into aluminium-air?

Chadus_Maximus ,

If it's impossible to consistently make good songs. Even an artist whom a person loves will at best make 20% of their songs worth listening to. In a 1 hour set, usually 1-2 songs are worth saving into the library. Anyone who says stuff like "I love this artist's album" is full of crap.

Chadus_Maximus , (edited )

Nah, the truth of the matter is that incorporating an amen break into the song instantly made it the winner. Genius move, really.

Chadus_Maximus ,

They needed a 3 year pre production for these as well. Should have gone for 2028 release.

My city of 3000 people certainly appreciates us buying locally. Some other city that's 100x the size? They're gonna be fine. Is the real estate price really so important business would rather make us buy goods from nearby places?

Chadus_Maximus ,

I genuinely refuse to believe that it is more profitable for them to pay for AC, water and electricity that RTO would require. There has to be something else I am missing. Is it all just managers justifying their stupid decisions to other managers?

What linguistic constructions do you hate that no one else seems to mind?

It bugs me when people say "the thing is is that" (if you listen for it, you'll start hearing it... or maybe that's something that people only do in my area.) ("What the thing is is that..." is fine. But "the thing is is that..." bugs me.)...

The letter w. Absolutely unjustified existence vhen v can be used instead. Also referring to people as pupil. Nothing else in English sounds as bad. Like, there isn't even anything fundamentally vrong with it. It's just bad.

Chadus_Maximus ,

That's vhere yoo are vrong. Replacing u vith v overemphasizes the letter vhen it doesn't deserve it. I propose oosing dooble o as a replacement instead.

Chadus_Maximus ,

The battery is kind of important so any place that could be used for a gimmick is better used for a bigger battery. Back then I don't think anyone cared about battery size. I just charged my phone when it ran out.

Chadus_Maximus ,

What about a politically charged video featuring a massive celebrity?

Chadus_Maximus ,

Not if we all keep using it as a form of protest.

Chadus_Maximus ,

Plenty. None that I would trust to save me in a road accident, though.

Chadus_Maximus ,

Damn. And here I was, being a fool, calling chickens dinosaurs...

Chadus_Maximus , (edited )

Qbittorrent LMAO. Also some Russian music hosting sites that appear as quickly as they get taken down.

Newpipe for when I don't need 320kbps, such as podcasts.

Chadus_Maximus ,

Wait, there are people who don’t have constant music in their ears?

Chadus_Maximus ,

How is it bad if everything else is much worse? That’s like saying using planes is dangerous for traveling.

Fairbuds are Fairphone’s proof that we really could make better tiny gadgets ( arstechnica.com )

But of course we all know that the big manufacturers don’t do this not because they can’t but because they don’t want to. Planned obsolescence is still very much the name of the game, despite all the bullshit they spout about sustainability.

Chadus_Maximus ,

That’s a naughty number and we don’t allow those.

Chadus_Maximus ,

Another fun fact: if you ask people to pick 2/3rds of a number everyone else picks when asked the same question, the correct number is drumroll 24.

Chadus_Maximus ,

In a lot of cases the sky isn’t blue.

Chadus_Maximus ,

Ehh just cut it in half. Not like they’ll notice.

Please, for the love of God, VOTE! ( pawb.social )

I don’t like Biden either, but anyone with half a brain knows there are two choices in the 2020 election. If we had a sane voting system, voting third party might be worth it, but as it stands, no one but you knows your favorite candidate exists and unless you want to become their campaign manager that will still be true in...

Chadus_Maximus ,

next time

Woah, calm down buddy. No reason why there should be a next time. Republicans are already creating projects as if there isn’t.

Chadus_Maximus ,

Sounds great! Where do I fill in my sensitive data?

Chadus_Maximus ,

≈20/10 1km away from the closest cable. 20 EUR/month.

Chadus_Maximus ,

… But I don’t see any horses. Surely they can’t move on their own! Who is pushing them?

Chadus_Maximus ,

It is not just one feature that makes the browser better. When you switch, you have to take the good with the bad.

Chadus_Maximus , (edited )

The idiots have not yet found the platform, so I can enjoy more interesting discussions.

Chadus_Maximus ,

I hereby revoke the right of my messages being read by lemmy.ml administrators under any circumstances.

Chadus_Maximus ,

Yeah. Currently at 7G planning to move up to 8G once I get my Neuralink implant.

Chadus_Maximus ,

Those potato spaghettifiers. Fuckers break when you try to push potatoes though. Waste of money.

Chadus_Maximus ,

I usually stop cooking the potatoes whenever a fork can split them. Apparently that is not enough?

Chadus_Maximus ,

I like my name better.

Chadus_Maximus ,

Isn’t melting until 38c so it’s hard to get it out of your body.

Chadus_Maximus ,

I think I’ll just sit.

Chadus_Maximus ,

I mean, every irrational number used in computation is reliable to a certain level of precision. Just because the current (heh) methods aren’t precise enough doesn’t mean they’ll never be.
