House votes to require delivery of bombs to Israel in GOP-led rebuke of Biden policies ( apnews.com )

The House delivered a rebuke to President Joe Biden Thursday for pausing a shipment of bombs to Israel, passing legislation that seeks to force the weapons transfer as Republicans worked to highlight Democratic divisions over the Israel-Hamas war....

Russia took notes on how Israel gets to operate with impunity.

Looking forward to the pier being used to import settlers and bombs to further decimate Gaza. Because at this point I have no faith in the Biden admini Doing anything right when it comes to this genocide.

Ken Klippenstein just published an article that Biden withholding arms was bullshit just yesterday.

Bidens threat to suspend arms to Israel is a scam

Hello GPT-4o ( openai.com )

GPT-4o (“o” for “omni”) is a step towards much more natural human-computer interaction—it accepts as input any combination of text, audio, and image and generates any combination of text, audio, and image outputs. It can respond to audio inputs in as little as 232 milliseconds, with an average of 320 milliseconds,...

Worth listening to a podcast by Ed Zitron who covers this exact same thing.

I work in analytics consulting and aside from some relatively straight forward text classification and parsing there really are so few instances where AI is useful. He actually made the case that AI is useful to people selling AI. But these chatbots are mostly useless bullshit.

There has been some reporting that Jeffrey Epstein was a Mossad agent honey trapping politicians in the US. It was reported on RT but I’ve been wondering the same thing.

This should have been the move on day 10 of the invasion. And a white house insisting on peace negotiations and the release of hostages on both sides. He would have instantly been viewed favorably on this issue and likely wouldn't have tanked his polling.

oakey66 ,

Biden is the politician running to win the election. It’s on him to make sure that he gets the most votes. Blaming Palestinians or voters in general for not voting for the guy enabling a genocide is not going to work to get more people to the polls. It’s on Biden.

oakey66 ,

He used to have decent politics but he's just become absolutely awful on almost everything.

oakey66 ,

Yep. He ended up doing healthcare lobbying so he flipped against a Medicare for all. He just tanked any semblance of what made him a likeable politician back in the 2000s. When he went after Bernie in 2016, it became really apparent what his allegiances were.

oakey66 ,

There were reports about Jeffrey Epstein being a mossad agent using pedophilia to entrap American politicians.

If that was the case, I'm sure Epstein wasn't the only one. Part of me really wonders if the democratic politicians holding steadfast in support of Israel really are doing this out of fear of being outed for doing heinous shit.

A good portion of windows users are corporate/business users. They're not going anywhere.

oakey66 ,

Those aren't leftists. It's mostly liberals who tell themselves that israel as a ethno nationalist state is perfectly fine but that a prime Minister boastfully taking Israel to it's natural conclusion of ethnic cleansing and genocide is too much. They want it to be done more quietly.

oakey66 ,

It already is.

  • Electricity is more expensive because of the wild swings in weather.
  • food is more expensive because of flooding and eats around the world (some tied to climate change). Example: chocolate, bananas, water.
  • Housing is more expensive. Hard to tell if this is climate related but certainly have been seeing extreme weather events all across the country which could drive people to move.
  • Insurance for housing is through the roof. Insurance companies have been paying through the nose for events in coastal cities. Some places in Florida are un-insurable.

'Settlers are right': The kibbutz movement should break away from the left, leader says ( www.haaretz.com )

“The settlers aren’t wrong. The right is correct: That is the way to seize and hold land, and their claim that, any place we Israelis leave, the Arabs will come in our place, is correct. The right is also correct in its path: It’s by settlement and only by settlement that sovereignty can be imposed. The debate is whether...

But then how is Microsoft going to subscription service us to death?

oakey66 ,

Yes and It came out right after the ICJ ruling. This was to try and divert attention from Israel being labeled as having plausibly committed genocide. Netenyahu always had a boner for unrwa because it would clear the way to making Palestinians die or move out of Gaza but the timing here was literally at the foot of the ICJ announcement.

oakey66 ,

Fuck you, Fetterman.

oakey66 ,

I’ve said this before and got downvoted but I’ll say it again. I will not tell a Muslim person or a Palestinian that they should hold their nose and vote for Biden. If the guy in charge is actively supporting a genocide and is providing the weapons that are killing your family, friend’s family, or just someone with your same religious beliefs, I don’t think we have the right to tell them they are wrong to abstain from voting for the pro genocide of their people guy. If a president was actively supporting the Nazis in killing my people, I would not have voted for that president.

It is the candidates responsibility to listen to his constituents. Not be finger wagged into voting them.

I hate these articles because they give you nothing beyond the headline and then on top of it they don’t even mention how much the car costs.

Netflix: “Should I get short term profits by price gouging and forcing commercials on people (thereby driving people to piracy) or should I forgo year over year profit increases by continuing to provide decent tv with no commercials and no price increases and delivering consistent profits?”
