Run W10Privacy and use NextDNS. Oh, and create a local user account.

All Asus mobos and graphic cards I owned died.

And as in my IT days we had whole rooms of machines with Asus graphics die too.

I avoid Asus components like the plague

What's the most interesting traditional or formal politeness behaviour or table manners in your culture? Or for any service personnel, in your restaurant? ( kbin.social )

I love all the ritualized behaviour, secret meanings and unexpected taboos - standing up when someone of higher status stands, elaborate rules for serving and eating, tapping the table to thank the server, never refuse a toast from a superior, stuff like that....

But you can tell when a dish isn’t salted just by the smell. I do that often.

I enjoyed browsing Gemini capsules using the Lagrange browser. Its look and feel is awesome and made me want to write smol websites again. I’m appalled by what modern websites have become. I miss making light but cool sites without an ounce of scripts in them.

I love the colours. These flowers grow naturally where I leave in southeast France. They’re very resistant and bloom all year long. They where my father’s favourite and mine too.

Also the P series (succesor of W). X series, just avoid the X1 Carbon.

Glued or soldered components, lots of issues as far as I’ve heard. You don’t find them refurbished (or rarely) which is a bad sign.

How often do you change your mobile phone plan?

I feel like every two years I need to call my carrier and complain if I want a decent deal. They will do things like upgrade my plan on their website to have 10 extra gigabytes of data but won’t upgrade me to it until I contact them. There’s also all the new member exclusive deals that I feel make it impractical to just sit...

Unlimited calls and SMS/MMS, 200GB data, lots of long distance calls covered: 16€EUR/mo. Why would I change ?

It should not. Some phones don’t play well with private DNS though, mostly entry level ones that thrives on spying.
