Same, local approach. There's a specific local city we're targeting the city council etc as well as spreading awareness to the locals that this is even an option. Your average person doesn't know it exists!
Totally irrelevant for this presidential election. Also I'd argue for presidential elections the electoral college needs to go first. The increasing number of presidents being elected with a minority vote is seriously concerning.
What's the real downside of the poles switching? We have GPS so in most cases it's not like we were using a compass anyway. Plus once they've fully switched it's basically back to normal, just backwards.
Y'all make me so happy with interactions like this sometimes it almost outweighs how big of a POS the internet can be the rest of the time. Maybe there is hope!

Marijuana is its own special category, but club drugs (which for some reason include date rape drugs), inhalants and steroids are all in a "miscellaneous" category together?...
Some Executives have no understanding of the need for Deep Work and can't imagine how the office isn't good for it.
The problem is executives have no need of deep work, that's what they hire others for. Bad executives don't understand this and assume you need what they need.
The quote: "Quiet quitters are hard to handle because they continue to complete their assigned workload to the same (often high) standard, giving their managers an uneasy feeling but nothing specific to complain about."
Marijuana was considered a black person drug. If you didn't know, the US kinda hates black people, statistically speaking. It's pretty fucked up!
According to the available information, there is no direct mention of the percentage of black people who used marijuana in the 1960s and 1970s. However, we can infer some information from the provided snippets.
In the 1970s, marijuana use became more widespread among the general population. According to Gallup’s trend by age, widespread experimentation with marijuana first occurred among adults aged 18 to 29 between 1969 and 1973, rising from 8% to 35%. It then continued to mount, reaching 56% by 1977, and remained at that level in 1985.
It is important to note that the available information does not provide specific data on the percentage of black people who used marijuana during this time period. However, we can infer that marijuana use was more prevalent among younger adults, particularly those in the 18-29 age range, during the 1970s.
In terms of the potency of marijuana during this time period, reports suggest that pot in the 1970s had THC levels of around 1%. In contrast, today, the herb you’re smoking has a lot more THC, with levels averaging more than 6-8%. Some specially grown plants can contain THC levels as high as 51%.
It is also worth noting that a 2022 analysis of marijuana possession arrests in Texas for the years 2017 to 2019 reported that African Americans comprised 30.2 percent of all possession arrests, yet Black people comprised only 12.9 percent of the state’s population. This suggests that there may be racial disparities in marijuana use and arrest rates, but the available information does not provide specific data on the percentage of black people who used marijuana in the 1960s and 1970s.
Edit: The above is kind of incorrect, the herb I smoke brags ~25%, though sources say those #s vary greatly.

Definitely the latter. If I can recommend a book please read it despite it's title: "Everything is Fucked" by Mark Manson.
The title is supposed to be a joke as when things get better we still will find even the smallest of problems, everything isn't fucked it's our perception. This is human nature. There's other really interesting observations in the book that I really enjoyed, but that's the main theme.
For certain, and in the grand scheme of things 50 years is nothing. For most of humanity generation upon generation would pass without any significant advance.
The last 100 years really hints at the speed of the singularity curve as things are getting better at an insane rate. But there are costs to those advances that if left unchecked can truly threaten the future of our species.

Honestly, locals should just leave. Places there will quickly realize if they want to continue operating there they will have to pay what is a livible wage for the area.
Until someone stops doing their laundry, cooking their food, or doing the gardening, they might never realize how untenable their situation is.
