Peach's face is looking weird, my guess is that's mostly from the 3 dots making her nose. Her eyes could also have 1 extra pixel of height and the middle of the pupil could use one extra pixel in length, make it slightly "rounder"

Yeah, only 1 extra pixel in height looked off. Added a second and I think it looks slightly better. Tried the extra width on the pupil, but that went much worse than I expected.

Been playing Rebel Galaxy on and off a bit. It's decent enough, think of it as a Freelancer lite, big emphasis on "lite". It's more "naval combat in space" than any sort of space game.

Also some Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, I really suck at it but it's so flashy and fun!

I feel like what I used to be back in 2006-2010, mr. family pirate, although most of my family is glad to pay for one or two services, mostly Amazon prime, which is one of the cheapest. I let my Netflix account cancel from lack of pay some 6 months ago, nobody called me yet.

Earning money in BRL and lots of stuff having a base price in dollars doesn't help us much either.

I think anyone with a working brain has figured out that the police has a side, at least in Brazil. I mean, every time there were demonstrations and walks asking for a fucking military coup and a new military dictatorship, the police would smile and pose for all sorts of photos with the participants.

Before the rabble invaded and broke into the buildings at the Plaza of Three Powers in January 8, 2023, it was like the police was escorting a group of friends. In some of the videos, the rabble would yell "We're on your side!" to the police who finally had to fight them. Of course, the majority of police still identifies with those fucking bozonazis.

My old $200 Motorola G9 Power phone lasted almost 4 years with only very minor scratches. Obviously in that period I have dropped it a few times getting out of the car, where the phone sometimes work itself out of my pant pocket while I drive, and then it slips out when I get out of the car. But no problem on my previous phones,...

I volunteered to give drawing classes to kids around 8-10 years at a local elementary school. It'll be my very first time doing "teacher's work", so to speak. I keep thinking about some of the drawing classes I took, all the stuff that would just make kids hate drawing and how to try and present them in a more "desirable" and fun way. The most important thing I know that I can teach them is to have a more technical eye and how to give and receive critique, which I plan to practice with them every class.

The bad is that, even if I keep the classes weekly as initially planned, I'm looking at mostly 3 years with any of them, as they'll have to change schools for their 6th year (Brazil currently has years 1-9 for elementary school; some schools, like the one I'll be volunteering at, only teach up to 5th year). Still, I hope that'll be enough for at least one of them to remember me, some 15-20 years in the future, like Lovestein's mom.

In other countries, where motorcycles are common, you'd see a good portion of them zig-zagging past the mostly stopped cars. While carry capacity is severely limited, compared to a car, it's still better than nothing.

Now, people without any means of transportation are pretty much fucked, because to evacuate, you need time to pack some of your shit and some way to transport it with you. Depending on the event, you'd have to choose between GTFO ASAP or packing the most you can. Even if a government provided buses for people without cars, how long would it take for everyone to finish packing their stuff inside and getting in before it's too late?
