I'm a big fan of the short form for horror so this format was made for me. Four interconnected stories that ramped up the creep factor.

A literary agent tries to track down a client who has dropped off the grid while working on a difficult screen adaptation.

Two bag men accept a job to deliver a rare book, with a few strange stipulations on how the book is to be handled and transported.

A boy with a strange pop-up book and few friends invites classmates to his birthday party.

A man tries to understand what happened to a former colleague after she received a series of emails with strange audio attachments.

@ElizabethLeeCo Huh! That's interesting. I honestly haven't specifically noticed WHERE the people are, who I have seen have it, but I think it's been varied. I just know somebody already sent me some support! Which is awesome, very kind, and was a lovely surprise earlier.

ALSO: Note that this book has a content/trigger warning at the front- it contains a LOT of horrific things, because it is a horror book. Nothing is exploitative or gratuitous, and in fact certain things are integral to helping to understand/justify the motivations of the characters... It's a GREAT book and story, but I didn't want anyone buying it and then getting mad at me for not warning them.

FYI: you might need to listen to Henry Zebrowsky read a letter from a prosecutor explaining why it is illegal to fuck Grogou. It is quite amusing.

@kamikat Hey, just so you know: whenever you post a link, you can delete whatever text is after the "?" in the link as it's just bullshit tracking stuff. The link will still work and it will save you all those characters (and look less ridiculous, too!)

My Other outdid himself. It's an amazing technical accomplishment, and it was thrilling to fill it up.

Now to clean the disaster area that the rest of the room is, lol.

@Well_Worth_A_Read Yes! And the crazy thing is, he built it large originally, but added 3 top shelves in each row across the top. He finagled it so that the new piece slipped onto/into the old shelf and it's so sturdy (even without books in it) that I can literally climb it and it doesn't budge. I am amazed at his abilities. He's not even a carpenter, just super smart & handy. (His job is to fix electronic issues at work, but also anything else that breaks, so he loves projects like this.) 😁
