yak shaving has a stack structure.

a new problem that stops you from continuing the current problem requires you to put it aside and solve the new problem first. so you push it.

when the problem is solved, you pop it from the stack, and when your stack is deep enough, then remembering what came before is difficult.

thus; forget the todo-list. just write a linear doing-stack that only contains all tasks you are presently simultaneously solving, ordered by how they depend on one another.

@lritter I use this prototype for managing my tasks: https://github.com/hiway/yakrazor

It treats the todo list as a stack, turns out that's the only way I can get most things done 😬

@lritter nods I use it for tasks/ chores around the farm, similar dependencies issue. A mobile friendly UI ensures I actually use the system instead of groaning about the effort and ignoring.

Temperature is 30°C indoors in an airy room today. All animals (including me) are feeling sluggish and just want to lie down. I'm ensuring everyone has cool water to drink nearby.

This is not normal in the hills, 26°C is about as hot as it used to get only a few years ago.

I shudder when I recall being passed out in a pool of sweat whole day when temps in plains rose to 45+°C in summer. It is getting worse there.
