Hi @grumpygamer. I just finished Thimbleweed Park and I enjoyed it so much. Monkey island 1 & 2 have been my favourite games since I first played them on next door’s Amiga.

Thimbleweed park took me right back, and I loved it.

I noticed you were on Mastodon and I thought that this is finally an opportunity to say “Thank you”. Your games set the bar for what constitutes a “good” game in my younger self that continues to this day (The “good” metric in this case being short hand for “how I should feel during and after playing a game”).

Screw it. If you kill a NPC they are dead. There are only a small handful of quests that are required so I just need to protect those NPCs. If you go around killing NPCs then it's less quests for you.

Implemented throwable bombs today. Lot of fun, but they can kill NPCs, which is interesting, but it can really screw over players. Maybe this is OK. Instead of dying NPCs run away and respawn later.

Thanks to @SilentNoise, I fixed my scroll wheel zoom issue. It was a very confusing set of prefs.

This is driving me crazy. When using The mouse wheel zooms but I want it to scroll. I have the option set, I'm uninstalled , cleared all my setting. This used to work and my other Mac the wheel scrolls. My OCD is taking over and I can't do any work until this is fixed.

@grumpygamer I help young people into coding through starting code clubs at coderlevelup.org (in partnership with the Raspberry pi foundation), and we use scratch a lot (as well as some python and unity).

They love creating in it. Some of them have played and love monkey island.

Would you consider collaboration to make some scratch projects with monkey island assets that can be remixed by young makers?

Tried to play Tunic today. First thing it does is try to connect to the internet. I blocked it (as I always do) and it just quits. No message, just won't run. If your game has a valid reason to connect to the internet, tell me otherwise I assume it's just to track me.
