Of all -isms that's probably Platformism. Whatever helps reach the goal. I find that pragmatic and rational.

andrew_bidlaw ,
@andrew_bidlaw@sh.itjust.works avatar

This joke is old, but isn't 'leftism' is generally understood as aknowledging different and unique instead of cutting everyone to the same template?

Winning an internet argument may seems small, but it's a brick in the foundation of the next revolution (not to say it's an excuse to masturbate before the mirror).

I'm with you on that. I hold a strong belief in anarchism or\and mutualism, but if TEH LIBS are those who are helping political prisoners or minorities at the moment, I'd help them to do so. Since my state is happy to torture activists and is soon to ban satanism as extremism with a 10+ year sentences, it seems chameleoning is the only way to keep acting and causing a little, but difference.

With how they are small I can't imagine landing two shots without dealing a lethal damage. In a flat 2d projection, like a target on a shooting range, an adult have, say, an area for 300 shots total, while a baby has like 50. They are very lucky.

I've tried a couple modern ones, but after posting that and deciding to start with pre-Steam games, seems like for now PCSX2 serves me well.

The effect of such tools depends on how neglected the system is. Probably he had A LOT to clean, so after a regular cleaning routine he was amazed by how everything is fast now.

On Windows, I could've probably bought it too for having startup+plugins+programs+cache in one window, since in later versions of Windows it's too inconvinient.

True. It came off a bit random. I thought about it like protesting without protesting, the gray zone the duality of this post doesn't cover.

A weird thought, but what if Moldova recognizes Transnistria in it's current borders, catching everyone by surprise? I see no upsides here for that rogue state, while Moldova arguably gets more than it sacrifices. There's like with North Korea not a dream of simple reintegration since shouldering it economically after all these years and fighting a russian openly supported proxy isn't what Moldova can do alone. But clearing itself for joining alliances, closing borders completely, making every violence an act of international agression, rendering Transnistria irrelevant for Russia and thus starving it from support, suggesting every USSR enthusiast to kindly fuck off? The longer it goes on like that, the more it seems like a rational thing to do.

Unlike Donbass or Crimea it exists for 30+ years and actively benefits from being a part of Moldova getting access to it's and EU market through it. Making them independent would crush their economy to the point they'd ask to get back themselves. That'd be then decided by the moldovan citizens. If there's no immediate danger of Russia opening the second front here, this table flip can probably work out. Is it possible?

andrew_bidlaw ,
@andrew_bidlaw@sh.itjust.works avatar

Hugh? Didn't know that. Can you suggest some additional reading on that?

Yeah, I've read that. But the last paragraph of yours kinda diminishes this autonomy in a sense it's not it's own state and is to be returned sooner or later.

A lot of us have random thoughts of lust over people around, but many of us shake them off before they even form because they are inappropriate or just untimely. None becomes an obsession or anything, and we rarely even remeber them. But when you are a rockstar your ego is so boosted you start to act on them and many other impulses because you can and you are always right. That's a feedback loop of doing something on a whim and feeling yourself even more powerful after facing no consequencies. Unless you have a strict moral compass, it's easy to get corrupted into a human animal that enjoys it's way to depravity.

andrew_bidlaw ,
@andrew_bidlaw@sh.itjust.works avatar

It's either profits to keep them afloat and kicking or another conflict to draw attention and cause discord, or both. Palestine-Israeli conflict caused that pause in supplies. They probably want to prolong it by causing another one.

People with a long-going abundance of money lacking brainjuice can rarely imagine the way to spend them, and they want the most exclusive and unavailable thing there is. For some reason it's a trend within their circles that pedophilia is Sex 2.0 exclusive to elites, and nothing in their head rings an alarm, or just a bullshit detector. Besides obvious anger about what they do, why do they choose that of all things? There's so much more gated behind the paywall that they can get, like extreme(ly expensive) sports, property design and management, investing into start ups and following them, top tier education and getting acclaimed in scientifical\professional fields, traveling to a new place every other week or just riding in an MBT for groceries shopping. Is there some street cred coming with that or what? It's just stupid.

andrew_bidlaw ,
@andrew_bidlaw@sh.itjust.works avatar

Not unpopular, just weird: the way to find your favorite song is keeping one as an alarm sound without starting to actively hate it.

It's when you start to add spiritual significance and meaning to it accupuncture becomes bonkers. Otherwise it's a specific form of a massage that lets one single out and affect specific muscles. Therefore a knowledgeable person can make wonders by applying it correctly. As a bonus: the whole experience of laying like a hedgehog.

I specified when it's not placebo and is real. Even in that rare case it wasn't aligning chackras or whatever but served as a surprise remedy to return normal blood circulation. Was it that timely or maybe doctors were too amputation-happy? Either way, not that much mystery, more luck.

Placebo comes when there are claims it treats what's out of it's reach, like cancer, or improves overall quality of life in some mystical way. The worst offence there is cases where patients refuse medications and therapy because they get in a great mood and have some pain relief after a session, like with many other semi-pseudoscientifical treatments. Otherwise it's a nice kind of a physical therapy.

Congratulations. My experience is pretty close to yours. Besides some software and shortcuts I miss from windows, it just works, and in these little moments I need help, there probably a dozen of threads with suggested solutions.

Be aware of Time Shift though. A part of new users report it taking all free space on the drive and crippling system, if used on ext3-4 file system + saving back ups to the system drive + having things like flatpack or TS's own folders not excluded. It happened to me and a lot of others, as I've encountered this question multiple times on the web, so keep an eye on it. You can actually open any save point as a folder from TS's interface and see if it saves what it shouldn't.
