Israel’s far-right finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, announced the seizure of 10 square kilometers (3.8 square miles) of Palestinian territory in the West Bank on Friday. The move marks the single largest land seizure by the Israeli government since the 1993 Oslo accords, according to Peace Now, a settlement watchdog group....
China could take Taiwan very quickly because it’s a tiny little island.
I assume you have little military knowledge. Personally I don’t make claims like this at all because I know the limits of my own knowledge. If China were to attempt to take Taiwan it would be devastating for both countries. War is absolute shit, many civilians would die, and what would China really gain? They’d gain being on America’s shitlist which historically is terrible. Be careful with statements like these, they’re the same ones I read right before Russia invaded Ukraine.

This video is great. He put into words what I’ve been suspecting for a couple months now. He predicts asset/housing prices will continue increasing while living standards stay terrible and he thinks they’ll get worse. I think he’s absolutely correct. A better quality of life is being gatekept by the wealthy.

You’ll never hear this stuff from Republicans. That’s another big differentiator between Republican and Democrat. Republicanism will destroy freedom if they continue to win unchecked.
Inverted yield curve has predicted every previous recession and it’s as inverted as it was before the 1980s recession. Now people are simply saying it’s no longer reliable. 🥴
My opinion is that the COVID pandemic wasn’t the recession it should have been. We should have entered a recession alongside the pandemic, but instead the government printed a fuck ton of money and pumped it straight into the economy. This led to increased inflation and the situation we’re in now. That’s why the grey line in 2020 is so thin, and why the yield curve is so deeply inverted now. They basically postponed it by about 4 years.
The total public debt helps explain why there wasn’t a recession:
Yea, and Jerome Powell is a Republican. If you think I’m trying to make this seem like Biden’s fault, it has nothing to do with the Executive branch of the government.
It’s never been the same amount of time since the beginning of the inversion, but there has always been a recession after the inversion goes back to normal. There are a lot of events that are building up that will bring the recession, it will happen over time. My guess is within the next 6-12 months.

You need consistent sustained force to combat air resistance as you exit the atmosphere. If you go too fast too quickly you’ll put too much stress on the vehicle and you’ll lose a lot of energy. I don’t see this working well. Powerful 2-stage reusable rockets are the way to go until we have a space elevator.
Our entire economic system is out of balance, debt is rampant in the midst of late-stage capitalism, and they come up with the term “money dysmorphia”. 🤡
Violence isn’t a way to solve this problem, it would only justify the use of force which the police/military are most willing to do. Fascism develops faster in the face of violence as a way to justify itself.

Imagine going to the only grocery store available, there are no prices on any of the items, you shop there because you’re starving and have no choice.
You go to the checkout after each time you shop and there is a single cashier that says this:
“Fuck you. In about a couple months we’ll demand that you figure out how much you owe us. If you don’t figure it out then we’ll potentially place criminal charges against you. Thanks for shopping here.”
You realize that you have no fucking clue about how much the stuff you bought costs because it changes all the time and nothing is labelled and there’s no system for keeping track.
One anonymous employee told Reuters, “You’d think the world’s leading Internet company would have worked this out.”
You don’t think that’s exactly why they constructed that building the way they did? WiFi is much less secure than a wired connection. It makes much more sense to me that they knew it would make WiFi not work as well to get more employees to used wired connections for security reasons.
This is yet another massive sign of an oncoming recession in the next 6-12 months. Inverted yield curve, more part time jobs, layoffs, commercial real estate collapse, etc.
That adds another one to the list. Unfortunately I don’t see a way we avoid a recession into 2025. It’s basically inevitable at this point given the conditions.
Aldi is great. Walmart has been robbing small towns in America without competition for long enough. I hope more Americans shop at Aldi and save more money while getting healthier food at a fair price.
