Last I checked, Biden admin continues escalating tensions all over the world. So, pretty sure it's gonna be more genocide regardless of which flavor of fascism you vote in.
It's a self reinforcing phenomenon. The more countries free themselves of the dollar, the easier it becomes other countries to do so going forward. Now that BRICS is a bigger economy than the G7, the economic incentives favor it for countries that are forced t chose between these economic blocs.
Yeah, that's the impression I get as well. That seems like the most likely scenario to me because I don't think any BRICS countries would want to have a single country's currency replace the USD. Having a Bancor style currency that's used strictly for settlement and not owned by any country is a much more palatable solution. Especially given the tensions China and India have.
That seems to be the suggestion, and not sure why people think Russia would go for it at this point. Might've worked at the start of the war when the west broke negotiations. Certainly, not gonna fly now.

I don't really follow your logic, since the open source OS itself is not tied to the bootloader. This is code that could be run on phones with open bootloaders. Everybody benefits from Huwawei developing an open source operating system as far as I can tell. So, not sure what you can't get behind here.
I get why people want open source running on open hardware. However, my point is that the code for HarmonyOS is perfectly usable for that. So, again, I fail to see what the problem with supporting the development of an open source mobile operating system that could be used on open hardware, once it exists, in the future. The thing you're describing doesn't really exist right now, aside from some very niche Linux phone projects that can't be used as daily drivers by most people.
