The Dem leadership should abandon their foolish fantasy of turning Florida blue at the ballot box from pure outrage over the actions of the fascist party.
Due to the kinds of election tampering they keep promising to do something about but never do (probably because they themselves are doing some of it in other states), it's literally impossible to turn the state blue without changing several laws designed to lock it down for the GOP in perpetuity no matter what the people want.
Why do you think DeSantis and Abbott have spent so much effort making their states red hellholes? They're trying to drive out anyone with current liberal leanings, attract more Republicans to their states, and repel potential Democrats from moving in, all in a very determined effort to buy more time for those critical electoral college votes.
Yeah, I don’t think anyone is expecting a radical overnight change. Like the article says, Biden won’t win. BUT it could start shifting things back in the right direction
Nope. Not without undoing most of the tampering that the GOP controlled legislature has done. They've made it almost literally impossible for themselves to lose Florida regardless of what the people want.
Nope, a lot of that red is catholics and evangelics that hate abortion... a lot of the remainder is fucking boomers that can no longer get pregnant but feel entitled to voice their opinion on the matter.
